Mary Jane Garcia
I represent Senate District 36 with pride and a
great sense of accomplishment. I serve as
Majority Whip in the New Mexico State Senate.
I am known as "
the working senator" who is
able
to pass very substantive and challenging
laws that
enhance the quality of our lives.
I am a business woman, having worked in our
family business for most of
my life. My family pioneered Dona Ana Village as farmers and
business
people. My years of experience in the State Senate, my
leadership role,
and my ability to create progressive policy qualify me to continue
to serve
as your State Senator.
My vision for New Mexico's future is to:
- Create sustainable jobs for a stronger economy
- Promote excellence in education
- Explore alternative and economical energy sources
- Work toward a universal healthcare package for all New Mexicans
